This Cookie Policy explains how VeriScout ApS (CVR 46154223) uses cookies and similar technologies on veri-scout.com and the VeriScout customer portal. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
We have kept the use of cookies to a deliberate minimum.
1. What is a cookie?
A "cookie" is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Cookies let a site remember things about your visit — for example, that you are logged in. Where this Policy refers to "cookies", it also includes similar technologies (such as localStorage, sessionStorage and pixel tags) when we use them for similar purposes.
2. The cookies we use
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies (always on)
These cookies are required for the Service to work. Without them you could not, for example, sign in to the customer portal. They are exempt from consent requirements under EU/UK ePrivacy rules because they are strictly necessary for a service that you have requested.

2.2 Functional storage (localStorage / sessionStorage)
The customer portal does not currently store information in localStorage or sessionStorage. If we add functional storage in the future — for example, to remember your last search filter, your selected league or a UI preference — we will list each item in this Section before any new storage is set, with its purpose and lifetime. Functional storage of this kind is first-party and not used for tracking or advertising.
2.3 What we do not use
We do not load any of the following on veri-scout.com or the customer portal:
- Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager or other Google measurement tags;
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, X (Twitter) pixel or other social-platform trackers;
- Hotjar, FullStory, Mouseflow, Microsoft Clarity or other session-replay tools;
- third-party advertising or retargeting cookies;
- third-party customer-support widgets that set cookies (e.g. Intercom, Drift, HubSpot chat); or
- A/B testing tools that set tracking cookies.
Because we do not use any cookies that require consent under EU/UK rules, we do not display a cookie-consent banner. If we add tools in the future that require consent, we will update this Policy first and put a consent mechanism in place before any non-essential cookie is set.
3. Server logs
In addition to cookies, our hosting provider (AWS, Frankfurt) records standard server logs — such as your IP address, user-agent string and the URL you requested — for security and abuse-prevention purposes. Logs are typically retained for 30–90 days and are not used to build profiles of individual visitors. See our Privacy Policy for details.
4. How to control cookies
Because we only use strictly necessary cookies, blocking them in your browser is likely to break sign-in. Most browsers let you (a) see and delete cookies stored on your device, and (b) block all cookies or block third-party cookies. Because we don't set third-party cookies in the first place, blocking third-party cookies on your browser will not affect VeriScout.

5. Changes to this Policy
If we change the cookies we use — including adding any non-essential cookies that need consent — we will update this Policy and, where the law requires, ask for your consent before any new cookie is set. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page tells you when the Policy was last revised.
